The Pharmacy Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.**
- Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
- Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
- Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
- Repackages bulk medications.
Required Skills**
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.
Minimum Education**
- High school diploma or equivalent: Required
- Associate’s degree Preferred
- Graduate of a program or discipline: Preferred
Certifications:**
- National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Certified Pharmacy Technician Board (CPTB) Ky Pharmacy Board Registered within 6 months of hire.
