Who will you be working with?
Railroad Friction Products Corporation designs and manufactures Cobra high-friction and low-friction composition brake shoes, specialty shoes, and disc brake linings for freight, locomotive and transit vehicles.
How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Railroad Friction Products group/division, you be be responsible for operating robotic welder to manufacture plate and insert assemblies .
What do we want to know about you?
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to interface with computer/iPad based programming.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
What will your typical day look like?
Follow all company established safety and employment rules.
Loads plates and inserts into robotic welder fixture per standard operating procedure.
Operate machine and adjust process parameters as needed to ensure efficiency and product quality.
Perform safety checklist and daily PM’s on equipment according to instructions provided by the Safety/TPM program
Follow all 5S procedures including Standard Work and Standard Operating Procedures
Regular on-site attendance is required.
Other duties may be assigned.

Regularly lift and/move up to fifteen pounds (15lbs).
Regularly required to stand; walk; reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and extreme heat (non-weather).
Noise level in the work environment is above moderate which requires the use of ear protection during working hours.
Occasionally exposed to airborne particles.
