Elevation Church eKidz Director (Matthews Campus) in Matthews, North Carolina

As the Matthews Campus eKidz Director, you'll get to create systems and build teams that foster an environment to empower kids to start or build upon their relationship with Jesus and support the family in that journey.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain an excellent atmosphere for children and families during Sunday Worship Experiences.

  • Build partnerships with families through systems of care, milestone celebrations, educational information and opportunities to connect with other families.

  • Recruit, onboard and continually develop eKidz volunteers and leaders.

  • Oversee all eKidz volunteer teams and functions, including 6 room volunteer teams and special events teams.

  • Plan and execute family-focused events for the Matthews Campus; Trunk or Treat, Christmas celebrations, Easter's “The Hop,” etc.

  • Develop and implement an infrastructure of all standard operating systems, cultural expectations, volunteer leadership, and financial viability for the areas you oversee.

  • Identify opportunities to regularly integrate eKidz into every aspect of the Matthews Campus.

  • Assist in planning and execution for all-campus events, including volunteer nights, leader meetings, holidays and special events.

  • Work alongside other Department Directors to create ways for eKids integration campus-wide. (i.e. eKidz Outreach Opportunities, Parent eGroups, etc.)

  • Support Matthews Campus Initiatives with the entire Matthews Staff (i.e. All-Campus Christmas celebration, Baptism weekends, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.)

    MUST-HAVES

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of experience in K-12 education, ministry, non-profit, or other relevant fields

  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding performance goals

  • Experience and proven track record in building and leading teams and rallying people around a vision/goal

  • Ability to make sound, critical decisions under pressure

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, manage time effectively and work with strict deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Proficient in Google Sheets and training in online systems

  • Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)

    NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Master's Degree in ministry, K-12 Education, family/child psychology, education, or other relevant fields

  • Ability to analyze data and provide data reports

  • Experience in event management/planning

  • Experience working in a non-profit environment or ministry setting

    Day-to-Day:

  • We're a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we're in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we're supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.

  • There's a lot to accomplish each week, so we're pretty fast-paced. We're also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.

  • Yes, we work hard. But we're good at playing hard, too. We're a creative staff, so there's no shortage of activities around our offices to have some fun!

EXAMPLE OF WEEKLY TIME EXPECTATIONS

  • Care and communication with current eKidz Volunteers & Leaders (8+ hours)

  • Matthews Team Meetings and collaboration with Matthews Team Members (4-5 hours)

  • Ownership of Matthews-specific events and initiatives (4-5 hours)

  • Family communication, connection and follow-up (2-3 hours)

  • Relationship building, recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers (1-3 hours)

  • Brainstorming and planning for meetings, trainings, family events, etc. (1-3 hours)

  • Weekend preparation (1-3 hours)

  • Inventory and purchase supplies for weekends and eKidz events (1-2 hours)

  • Marketing and strategizing for eKidz growth, volunteer growth, etc. (1-2 hours)

  • Participate in Central eKidz Meetings (2-3 hours)

  • Community connections and conversations with First Time Guests and Salvations (1-2 hours)

  • Sunday presence, campus care, oversight of Sunday Volunteer Teams, and potential staff leadership opportunities (ongoing on Sundays)

  • Overnight Matthews Team Offsite (once a year)

  • eKidz Offsite, possibly overnight (once a year)

  • Church eKidz weekend events (1-2 times a year)

  • Note: This role does include working on evenings and weekends, as needed
