The Sherwin-Williams Company Label Operator - 1st Shift - Main Plant in Massillon, Ohio

Label containers for Sherwin products in accordance with specified procedures & standards. These duties are to be performed in accordance with all safety rules, including the wearing of proper Personal Protective Equipment, including flame retardant uniforms and steel toed, static dissipating shoes if working in the paint plant. Additional Information: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am. - 3:30p.m. This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Company's applicable plans. Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and vendors Setup and change over label machines to cover peak operation Make minor repairs and adjustments to labeler and/or notify supervisor or maintenance of major problems. Perform clean down procedures to labeling equipment. Label cans on labeler and/or by hand. Advise Supervisor or Quality Control of any problems with equipment or product not meeting specifications. Keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly. Count remaining inventory of packaging materials at the end of production run, prior to having them put in racks. Perform other duties assigned. Minimum Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating machinery in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment Have at least one (1) year of work experience operating packaging equipment such as robotics, filling machines, case packers, or labelers, etc. Sherwin-Williams is proud to be an Affirmative Action, Equal Employment Opportunity, Inclusion and Diversity Supportive Employer.
