Massapequa Public Schools Cleaner in Massapequa, New York
The Massapequa Public Schools currently have openings for friendly, energetic and reliable Cleaners to join our team. The chosen candidates will be hard-working, dedicated team-players who take pride in providing a clean, orderly environment for our students and staff.
A Cleaner is responsible for the following typical duties:
sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, washing walls, windows and other equipment/facilities, emptying waste baskets, disposing of assorted rubbish, refilling paper towels, toilet paper, etc
cleansing and disinfecting of bathrooms, kitchens and other areas,
set-up/move/remove furniture for various building needs
secure windows/doors and other areas
remove snow/leaves/debris from the immediate vicinity of buildings
general painting and other basic maintenance tasks
other basic tasks as assigned by their supervisor
Job Qualifications
Ability to communicate clearly
Ability to lift as much as 50lbs
Ability to stand/walk most of the work day
Ability to pass a background screening by Civil Service (fingerprinting will be necessary at employee’s own expense)
