Responsibilities
Executing projects in a safe manner and be persistent in follow-up to correct known safety problems.
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Technology, Commercial/Business and other functional partners to resolve quality issues with a sense of urgency.
Lead and participate in internal audits as well as host customer and vendor audits.
Work with functional partners to assure quality meets customer requirements on shipments of assigned products.
Lead and resolve root causes and eliminate that potential cause for the future.
Work with Analytical Services on use of qualitative procedures for root cause analyses.
Lead Customer Complaint investigation teams.
Troubleshoot and identify root cause of customer complaints and manufacturing quality problems, in collaboration with Customer Facing teams and manufacturing teams respectively.
Leverage statistical methods and empirical or other models to analyze results.
Communicate results, conclusions and recommendations to internal and external audiences.
Keep others informed of your work (Monthly Reports, Project Reviews, etc.).
Cultivate an open and friendly environment to encourage trust and teamwork where employees are focused on continuous improvement.
Develop team members who can work with minimal guidance commensurate with the abilities, experiences, and performance.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Engineering or other technical degree.
Certified Lead Auditor is preferred.
Proven knowledge and understanding of analytical techniques is required.
At least 3 years of experience managing quality management systems and a quality control lab is required; 5+ years is a plus.
Excellent internal/external communication skills (written/oral).
Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) trained and experience.
Operational Excellence and Six Sigma knowledge is beneficial.
