Job Summary
The Insurance Specialist is accountable for ensuring eligibility, benefit verification and the authorization processes are completed in the time allowed by the insurance companies to prevent denials or penalties.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Associate’s degree in finance, business or healthcare preferred.
One to two years experience in billing, insurance, or registration in a healthcare setting required.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$18.25 - $23.00 per hour
