You’ll be a key part of the launch team that will help bring the electrification revolution to driveways, job sites, and highways everywhere. BlueOval Battery Park Michigan will produce the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells to power the next-generation Ford EV passenger vehicles and trucks under development.
This new wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company will create more than 1,700 jobs when production begins in 2026.

What You'll Do…
I. Materials Management & Control:
End-to-end Material Flow: Direct the management of materials from receiving docks to the point of use and shipping docks, encompassing loading/unloading, storage, disposition of materials and scrap, managing new and obsolete parts, and controlling inventory with proper marketplace management.
Ford Production System (FPS) Support: Develop and implement Ford Production System, industrial material flow, and lean manufacturing practices.
ERP System Support: Support the MP&L MRP Development and Deployment Plan through the Explore, Realization, Test, and Hypercare phases of launching SAP.
Inventory Optimization: Provide annual cost savings and inventory reduction plans. Work with industrial material buyers to achieve annual savings.
Purchasing & Ordering: Update annual and semi-annual purchase orders for industrial materials. Assist with the new part setup process.
Critical Parts Management: Coordinate, monitor, and maintain critical equipment replacement parts.
II. Safety, Compliance & Team Leadership:
Safety & Health: Understand, observe, teach, and enforce all corporate, plant, department, and job-specific health and safety policies and practices. Conduct weekly safety talks and housekeeping audits.
Team Management: Lead and manage team members and suppliers to deliver a coordinated and lean supply chain. Assign work, hold employees accountable, and provide disciplinary action as appropriate.
Resource Allocation: Provide direction and support in allocating manpower and other resources for material ordering, receiving, distribution, and warehousing.
Performance Management: Provide accurate timekeeping in the TWOS system. Administer performance reviews.
III. Continuous Improvement & Communication:
Process Improvement: Continuously drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, people, maintenance, and environment (SQDCPME). Operate within a policy deployment and master schedule business environment.
Communication: Communicate on a timely basis and maintain a sense of urgency regarding issues. Conduct weekly team meetings.
You'll Have…
A bachelor of Science degree in Business-Engineering Management, Engineering-Industrial, Engineering-Manufacturing, or Engineering-Packaging
3-5 years of experience in material control, planning, or procurement, ERP, MRP systems technology and implementations in auto parts or large manufacturing
Even Better, You'll Have…
Strong analytical skills, quick decision-making, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in computer applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), and knowledge of Ford systems (CMMS, OSHIM, CPARs, and TWOs).
MODAPTS Certification, GSPAS knowledge are beneficial.
This role will start remotely and then will be working hybrid out of Marshall, MI, with the expectation to be on-site at Marshall once building construction and timing is established (relocation package available).

This position is a range of salary grades 5,6,7 and 8 .
