Day in the life:

In a typical day, you assist with month-end closing and account reconciliation, ensuring everything aligns accurately. You spend time preparing forecasts and budgets, analyzing trends in sales, finance, and general business conditions to inform your decisions. You also engage in business unit cash flow forecasting, providing vital insights for financial planning.

Throughout the day, you may need to support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and transparency. Analyzing financial and expense performance is a key part of your responsibilities, as you conduct research to identify areas for improvement. You also handle special financial and business-related studies whenever requested.

You consult with team members to determine the causes of any variances, recommending corrective actions and preparing variance explanations for management. When complex financial issues arise, you troubleshoot and analyze them, offering recommendations for policies, controls, or actions to resolve the issues effectively. Finally, you wrap up your day by completing any necessary ad-hoc reporting and analysis, ensuring that all stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting, finance or business

  • 3+ years’ relevant experience FP&A, creating and analyzing financial reports in a large organization

  • Advanced proficiency in Ms Office Suite especially MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations

  • CPA or working towards CPA
