Naval Air Systems Command PRODUCTION SUPPORT SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina
Summary You will serve as a Production Support Specialist (Aircraft) in the Centralized Coordination Department of FLTREADCEN EAST. Responsibilities You will evaluate estimates provided by planners and estimators to ensure they are in alignment with current labor rates and material costs. You will manage a comprehensive data-driven production performance measurement framework to continually evaluate the status and progress of production-related activities. You will develop and recommend strategic and operational initiatives for improved service delivery and quality of products and services procured. You will analyze procurement performance information to prepare data call responses. You will identify conflicts and resource shortfalls associated with work plans to facilitate on time delivery to acquisition customers. You will conduct business analysis, studies, or surveys using standard business information systems applications (e.g., database management tools, spread sheets, word processing applications, graphics, and statistics databases). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Place, direct, and control the scheduled and unscheduled aircraft tasks/ work content performed up to the Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) Specification; 2) Develop logistics and industrial proposals, plans, and capabilities for potential and existing customers to meet demands in aircraft maintenance and modification.; 3) Provide leadership, technical, programmatic, financial, and risk management over assigned aircraft platforms; 4) Help to ensure aircraft maintenance and modifications meet the approved budget, schedule, and performance baseline; 5) Solve aircraft production problems by understading the peculiarities of aircraft DDLM production processes.
