What will you be doing in this role?
The Hospital Floor Care Technician is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the floors within the hospital which includes cleaning, buffing and stripping in order to provide a clean, sanitary and attractive environment for patients, visitors and employees.
You will also be responsible for:
Strip and wax, scrub and recoat floors
Vacuum and shampoo carpets
Buffing and maintaining hard floors
Keeps equipment clean and in good condition
Remove any equipment vital prior to the start of your task
Dust mops the floor for any loose debris and remove any gum residue
Ensures no residue is left on the baseboard and kick plates or stainless-steel surfaces
Uses caution signs or caution tape appropriately when performing any project work that can result in a personal injury
Removal of trash and mop floors as advised
Shift: 5:00PM to 1:30AM
6 months of related work experience in all phases of floor care and carpet care (preferred)
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing (required)
Cleaning experience in a hospital, school or hotel (highly preferred)
