Position Summary
Our Marietta, OH Energizer facility produces products used in our North American battery manufacturing plants to make our renowned Energizer and Ray-O-Vac branded batteries. If you enjoy working in a team-oriented, quality focused, and fast-paced environment, you are the right fit for our team!
Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership to the electrical (and some mechanical) skilled trades personnel in troubleshooting manufacturing and facilities equipment
Must be proficient in understanding and programming of the following (PLCs, relay logic, variable frequency drives, stepper & servo controls systems)
Work with operations and maintenance team members to identify, define, plan, schedule, coordinate and implement: efficiency improvements in equipment, labor, and energy to ensure the highest level of company profitability and customer (process) satisfaction
Develop original design concepts, specifications, cost estimates, requisitions of materials, equipment and parts, work orders, and expedites construction to a timely completion within assigned budget to ensure the highest level of profitability and customer satisfaction (process and end consumer)
Experience and knowledge troubleshooting all processes, process control and instrumentation including:
Flows using both contact and non-contact flow metering
Pressures using pressure and differential pressure transducers
Vacuum using vacuum switching and differential pressure transducers
Temperatures mainly using RTDs but with a few thermocouples
Liquid/Semi solid level measurements using differential pressure in most of the liquid tanks and ultrasonic in semi solid tanks
4–20mA feedback
PID controllers; On/Off and Proportional
PLC architecture, software and function including Rockwell Logix 500, Micrologix, Rockwell Control Logix 5000, Studio 5000, and HMI interface
VFD Drive and Soft Start architecture and functions, mainly Rockwell VFDs
Power Distribution and switchgear such as 13.8 kV 3ph, 480 vac 3ph, 120 vac control, single phase. and 24vac and 24vdc
Power Transformers/Rectifiers
Overhead Bridge Crane electrical controls, mainly AC
Working knowledge of basic IT structure, network servers, switched, LANS and VLANS etc.
Pneumatics, most of our control valves are pneumatically controlled using solenoid valves
NFPA 70E
Arc Flash requirements
What we are looking for
Bachelors' in Electrical Engineering or 5 years of Electrical Engineering manufacturing or industrial experience
3-6 years as an Electrical Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience with basic electronic controls, PLCs, relay logic, variable frequency drives, stepper & servo controls systems; applications of electrical and mechanical sensors, especially relative to packaging equipment
Knowledge and application of the NEC
Experience reading and interpretation of electrical schematics
Knowledge of power distribution systems and electrical substations
Microsoft Project knowledge of infrared/preventative maintenance technologies of electrical systems
Experience in the supervision of electrical skilled trades
Strong computer skills
