Position Title:Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location:Metro Atlanta Area Employment Type:PRN (As Needed), 4-40 Hours/Week Reports To:Client Care Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our home care team, providing essential care to clients in their homes throughout the Metro Atlanta area. This PRN position offers flexible hours ranging from 4 to 40 hours per week, depending on client needs. The CNA will be responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living, ensuring their comfort and safety, and traveling to clients' residences. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel exceeding 50 miles from the CNAs starting location.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Care:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Monitor clients health status and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring clients maintain proper nutrition.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks related to the clients care.
Transportation and Travel:
- Travel to clients' homes within the Metro Atlanta area, providing care at various locations based on assignments.
- Mileage reimbursement provided for travel exceeding 50 miles from the CNA's starting location.
Documentation:
- Accurately document all care provided, including ADLs, vital signs, and any changes in clients conditions.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and ensure all records are completed in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Communication and Teamwork:
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training as required.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- Current, valid CNA certification in the state of Georgia.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous experience in home care or a similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules.
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to providing high-quality care.
Other Requirements:
- Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
- Willingness to travel to various client locations within the Metro Atlanta area.
- Flexibility to work PRN hours, with availability ranging from 4 to 40 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate:Competitive, based on experience.
