Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Marietta, Georgia
Description
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Marietta, Georgia. This role is vital within our HVAC company's finance department, where you will be managing incoming payments, recording financial transactions, and ensuring that receivables are collected promptly. This role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and interact effectively with clients.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the generation and distribution of invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Accurately record and apply incoming payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit cards to customer accounts.
• Conduct customer account reconciliation to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Maintain and update customer files, including contact information and payment histories.
• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging reports and collection forecasts.
• Professionally address and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes with customers.
• Collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to resolve customer issues and improve the billing process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles.
Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Competence in Billing procedures
• Knowledge of Cash Applications
• Familiarity with Cash Collections
• Experience in Commercial Collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• Proficiency in SAP
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
