Air National Guard Units TRAINING TECHNICIAN in March AFB, California

Summary This TRAINING TECHNICIAN position, is located in the Force Development Office with an Air National Guard (ANG) Wing, Mission Support Group, Force Support Squadron or Flight and is part of the CA 163 ATKW. This position is concurrently announced with AGR A24-120. Only one of the announced positions will be filled. Referral and selection will be IAWCNGFPR335. Responsibilities THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9, is to schedule all formal initial skill, refresher and proficiency training for both officer and enlisted members, which include providing staff planning and multi-level assistance to ensure that required military training objectives are achieved for all assigned units. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. AREA I= Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. AREA II= Current California National Guard members. Military Grades: E-5 through E-7 Recruitment/Relocation Recruitment/Relocation Incentive IS NOT authorized. PCS Relocation Costs IS NOT authorized based on determination that Permanent Change of Station (PCS) move is not in the Government best interest. Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance: at a minimum a National Agency Check is required. Qualifications General Experience: Must possess education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Experiences, education, or training that demonstrated the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise demonstrates the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. TRAINING TECHNICIAN, GS-1702-9: Must have at least 12 months experience equivalent to the GS-07 level. Experience that demonstrated the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (Competencies/KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position; Experienced in conducting and developing education and training programs. Experienced in audio-visual presentations, educational tests and measurements, and instructing techniques; Experience in training program management; scheduling training events and facilities; conducting assistance visits and training meetings; work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; military personnel classification system and policies; communicative interpersonal skill applications; and distance learning concepts. Experienced and effective communicator.
