Here, you will make an impact by:Create, manage and maintain Hazard Communication documents including Safety Data Sheets and labels for new and existing internal materials and commercial productsAssist 3M global customers, suppliers and governmental agencies with their product EHS&R inquiries including regulated lists, RoHS/WEEE, REACH/SVHC, global inventories, local, state, federal and global regulationsAssist SMDL/MRD supported businesses with their life cycle management needsAssist with TSCA compliance activities including document maintenanceWork with manufacturing sites and cross functional teams to obtain formulation, composition and regulatory informationPerform routine regulatory tasks for new and existing materials and productsProvide support for new product introduction activities, including management of change activities and run requests (NPI/NMI/NTI)Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Three (3) years of combined experience in an EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) regulatory affairs, manufacturing, laboratory, or research and development function in a private, public, government or military environment.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related degree with significant foundation in chemistryExperience in product EHS&R, including OSHA Hazard Communication, US and global chemical control lawsDesired skills: interpersonal effectiveness, oral and written communication proficiency, organizational skills (prioritization, project management), systems proficiency (CDMS, SAP/PLM, O365, etc.)Ability to work well in diverse teamsFlexible with a high degree of personal integrity and motivationAnalytical and problem-solving skillsTwo (2) years of combined chemistry, inorganic chemistry, materials science, and/or biochemistry coursework in a private, public, government or military environmentWork location: Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood, MN at least 1 days per week)Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Export ControlResponsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.U.S. Export Control laws and U.S. Government Department of Defense contracts and sub-contracts impose certain restrictions on companies and their ability to share export-controlled and other technology and services with certain "non-U.S. persons" (persons who are not U.S. citizens or nationals, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., refugees, "Temporary Residents" (granted Amnesty or Special Agricultural Worker provisions), or persons granted asy um (but excluding persons in nonimmigrant status such as H-1B, L-1, F-1, etc.) or non-U.S. citizens.To comply with these laws, and in conjunction with the review of candidates for those positions within 3M that may present access to export controlled technical data, 3M must assess employees' U.S. person status, as well as citizenship(s).The questions asked in this application are intended to assess this and will be used for evaluation purposes only.Failure to provide the necessary information in this regard will result in our inability to consider you further for this particular position.The decision whether or not to file or pursue an export license application is at 3M Company's sole election.Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
