M Health Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at the Podiatry Clinic located in Maplewood MN. Join M Health Fairview, the largest healthcare system in the state! The M Health Fairview Podiatry Clinic is a growing and collaborative clinic.
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening.
This position will split time between the Maplewood, Wyoming Lakes, Woodbury (Birch Center), and University Fulton Vascular Clinic locations.

Responsibilities Job Description
As a member of the patients care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will collect information and detail the patient's visit. MA's are responsible for adhering to policies, procedures and practice guidelines; promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Medical Assistants deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN is required.
Basic Life Support Certification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Ambulatory Care Experience is preferred.
AAMA Certification is preferred.
