Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleSupport scientists by performing laboratory tasks for commercialization of new products and maintenance or re-qualification of existing products. To prototype new product ideas and concepts. To evaluate results and make recommendations to scientists.As a(n) lab technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Plan, schedule, conduct and analyze laboratory experiments and testing including chemical, physical, and mechanical test methods with minimal supervision.Experiments with various test methods to determine the optimum test procedures, formulas, and/or approaches. Develops and modifies existing test methods and/or equipment as needed.Obtains and produces lab samples needed for testing. Records,interprets, evaluates, and communicates test results to scientists through appropriate documentation such as the technical notebook. Makes recommendations based on test results.Provides work direction and training to new personnel and other laboratory technicians on test methods, procedures, and equipment usage and maintenance.Leads and participates in various teams and quality teams to facilitate product quality and safety.Maintains lab-scale equipment and orders supplies for lab testing.Actively engage in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline and at least 6 months experience in a lab setting. Expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Physical Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.ORHigh School Diploma/GED from AND (5-10) years of job-related experience in designing and running laboratory experiments, analyzing results, and summarizing data and providing recommendations.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Skills include excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work in fast pace environment and manage multiple tasks.
