PDS Tech Inc Solder Technician in Maple Grove, Minnesota
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking qualified Solder Technicians for 1st shift in Maple Grove MN
It is time to put those soldering skills to work. PDS Tech Commercial, in partnership with an industry leader in electromechanical, manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain solutions is looking to add to their soldering team in the Maple Grove market.
As a Solder Technician, you will perform class III hand soldering. In addition to hand soldering will also clean, rework and fabricate parts, components and subassemblies by using scopes and basic hand tools and special devices for the production of components and assemblies. This role requires the use of basic hand tools, special fasteners, soldering iron and measuring devices.
Responsibilities for the Solder Technician roles include:
Fabricate parts and/or components or perform preparation tasks requisite to fabrication.
Perform hand soldering of Through Hole, SMT, or Flex product while using a scope.
Prepares wire by cutting, stripping, twisting, tinning and solders, fastens wires, cables, resistors, capacitors and other parts and components to pwb’s, connectors, and assemblies.
Cleans parts and hand places components during production processes using in-line clean, hand clean and or vapor degreaser.
May also operate soldering equipment such as solder wave, selective solder, surface mount equipment, and special parts preparation equipment.
Hours and Pay:
1st shift 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday with overtime encouraged at $22/hr.
Qualifications:
High School education or equivalent.
1 year related experience preferred - Manufacturing experience including microscope soldering or IPC-610 & J-STD certificate desired
Required to pass J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 certification to be qualified to perform the job duties of a Solder Technician
Ability to read and understand verbal and written instructions in English-language, read blueprints, drawings and schematics

Pay Details: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour
