Patient Care Assistants (PCA) will utilize a broad-base of skills in basic patient care, to assist patients with preparation for exam, during and/or after exam. PCA will establish positive rapport with patients, explaining what they should expect during each step of care. All interactions will be handled in a professional, caring, courteous and safe manner to ensure quality care. PCA will communicate with all other radiology team members to assure positive transitions in care. PCA may assist the technologist or radiologist in the performance of basic patient care. Perform general clerical tasks within the department to ensure efficiency during the patient's radiology imaging exams and services. Education/Experience: Previous office experience in a health care environment preferred. Previous patient care experience in medical environment preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses: * Strong clinical and human relations skills. * Basic knowledge of office duties and equipment. * No certifications or licenses required. * Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. * Must maintain current CPR skills Additional Information The Organization At Park Nicollet you're part of something bigger.
