Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will monitor and set up machines during the production, bagging, and bottling process, ensuring smooth operation and efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, quick problem-solving skills, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Monitor machines during the production, bagging, and bottling process.
Set up and change over machines at the start of each day.
Monitor each section of the machine to ensure proper functioning.
Change tape, tables, banding plastic, caps, and bottles quickly to minimize downtime.
Shut down machines properly during any jams or changeovers.
Anticipate and prevent jams before they occur.
Assist packagers at the end of the line as needed.
Perform basic machine changeovers.
Essential Skills
Strong attention to detail.
Punctuality.
At least 1+ year of experience in a similar role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Changeover, Lockout, Tagout, Labeling machine, Bottling Machine, Bagging Machine, Filling Machine, and Filler Machine.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Experience in production line troubleshooting.

Work Environment
This position is based in a large food production warehouse where products like salad dressing and mustard are manufactured. You will work with mixers, bottlers, shipping/receiving, and quality control teams. The environment follows GMP guidelines, requiring hand washing, proper PPE, and the use of hair nets and beard nets. Expect a fast-paced work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00
