Job Title: Composite Technician
Job Description
As a Composite Technician, you will perform repairs on parts/components using methods such as 'Wet Layup' and 'Prepreg.' Some repairs require the use of a clean room and curing through an autoclave. Composite bonding methods utilized in repair may include co-curing, co-bonding, secondary bonding, metal bonding with adhesives in liquid form, and film. Repairs are conducted in accordance with current technical data and procedures.
Hard Skills
Reading basic blueprints
Using close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, etc.)
Using hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener installation tools, etc.)
Performing alignment/assembly using jig, templates, and fixtures
Proper use of PPE during cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding
Extensive use of bagging materials
Proper bagging for a wide range of component shapes and styles
Using a 'Hot-Bonder' type machine cure procedure
Soft Skills

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00
