Amentum Production Control Supervisor FLEX in Mannheim, Germany

Purpose: The Supervisor – Production Control is responsible for managing section level production control activities for the Army Prepositioned Stocks – 2 (APS-2).

Positions Reporting to this Function: PC Clerks, PC Leads, Supply Technicians, Warehouse Workers, and Shipping/Receiving Clerks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to production personnel to ensure effective contract performance and compliance.

  • Ensures required reporting and deliverables are in a timely manner.

  • Reviews production data for accuracy and efficiency as it relates to volume of production, work schedules, consumption of material, quality control, product specifications and other aspects of production.

  • Consults with PC Manager and other senior management, as appropriate, to provide status reports as required and to address challenges and resolve project discrepancies as they arise.

  • Oversees and monitors PC personnel and processes to ensure adherence to established protocols.

  • Ensures accountability of Personnel is accurate and reported daily to the PC Manager.

  • Works to develop innovative and effective performance enhancing operational processes.

  • Ensures employees maintain compliance with technical instructions, all company and customer safety and environmental requirements and regulations.

  • Maintains a professional, respectful, and productive work environment.

  • Monitors scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions entered and completed in Global Combat Support System – Army (GCSS-A).

  • Ensures all personnel understand and follow all Company and Government policies, procedures, and directives.

  • Monitors the accuracy and reporting of all administrative functions for the section.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • High School graduate or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience is required.

  • 3+ years of leadership experience required.

  • Formal training: Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent. Must be able to produce GCSS-A Training and Certifications (GTRAC) within 30 days of hire.

  • Must have a wide-ranging knowledge of maintenance repairs on a variety of equipment. Background in military production control is a plus.

  • Ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues and recommend actions to improve delivery of services to the customers.

  • In the absence of the manager, perform those duties as directed.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are required.

  • Time management skills are a plus.

  • Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required. Computer skills include a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements.

  • Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistics Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card).

Specialized knowledge and skills:

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.

  • Ability to independently operate with minimal supervision.

  • Must possess a strong knowledge of logistics and maintenance (at least 5 years of current experience), preferably in an Army Prepositioned Stocks environment.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.

  • Driver’s license is required.

Additional Requirements:

1) LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Formal Training: GCSS-A certification and/or Military AIT/industry 40hr course equivalent. Must be able to produce GCSS-A Training and Certifications (GTRAC) within 30 days of hire.

2) PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Stooping, sitting, kneeling, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds by themselves-51+ with the assistance of another person, touching dexterity (hand and finger), carrying, clear seeing-general, close vision, color perception, clear speech, driving vehicle, moving objects.

• Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week.

• Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required).

3) WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to situations where risk of electrical shock and vibration exist. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

• May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
