Your Opportunity: Navitor Specialty Products (a Taylor Company) is hiring a Production Control Manager to supervise and coordinate production in our manufacturing facility in North Mankato, MN. Your Shift: Monday - Friday Hours for this position are flexible but should primarily take place during daytime business hours. Your Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating the flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production of products through the complete production cycle Develops and maintains an accurate forecast and record for all finished products distributed by the organization Develop and implement labor management practices & procedures Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions Assist with the identification and prioritization of opportunities where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, compliance, quality, profitability, competitive position and customer satisfaction Identify opportunities to streamline work, reduce waste and identify cost savings opportunities Conduct process improvement initiatives with process owners which includes documenting current process to identify pain points and opportunities, performing supporting data analysis, facilitating the design of the process changes, and supporting implementation of the process change. Facilitate and lead lean events that focus on processes and procedures with in the production workflows Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely, professional manner Quality check product setup and ensure it matches requirements requested by customer Analyze information obtained from management in order to conceptualize and define operational problems. Collaborate with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions You Must Have: High School graduate or GED B.S. Degree in a technical field, OR 5+years of progressive manufacturing experience and responsibilities, 3 of which must be in a supervisory capacity. Ability to understand verbal and written instruction Broad technical experience in a manufacturing environment Willing to look at new and innovative ways to improve methods and processes Good problem solving skills Ability to handle with discretion issues that require confidentiality Ability to motivate and coach others Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others Ability to perform short and long range planning Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Project management experience, either in a production or software development environment Positive attitude, must be able to juggle multiple priorities Ability to navigate and work in ERP systems We Also Prefer: B.S.
