Job Description
This position exists in order to meet behavioral health/mental health therapy clinical service needs in the Center for Rural Behavioral Health. This position will provide mental health counseling, group therapy or other mental health programming within the Center for Rural Behavioral Health as well as provide instruction and supervision for interns from the department of Social Work, Counseling and Student Personnel, School Psychology and other related disciplines.
Minimum Qualifications
Current or eligible for LICSW in Minnesota
Eligible for board approved clinical supervisor status
Three years of providing mental health therapy
Demonstrated commitment to culturally relevant and inclusive practices
Preferred Qualification
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
Board approved supervisor status
Five years of providing mental health therapy
Experience supervising graduate student interns
Experience in program development
Other Requirements
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.

This position requires a valid, applicable driver’s license, as well as a DVS records check with an acceptable rating. This position requires a passing background check under Minnesota Statutes 299C.60 to 299C.64 – Minnesota Child Protection Background Check Act. It is expected that the employee maintains the ability to pass applicable background check throughout employment.
