JOB REQUIREMENTS: Testing, Covering, and Packaging Operator - 3rd shift Location: MANITOWOC, WI, United States Job Family : Manufacturing Job Type : Regular Posted : Mar 25, 2024 Job ID: 47743 Job Description The Test and Packaging Operator is responsible for machine operation and processing in successful achievement towards final product. This role performs the last view of product before preparing for shipping, following all Parker Hannifin Standard Operating Procedures and Safety regulations and practices. The incumbent contributes to and participates in a strong team environment. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Collaborates with Hybrid Extruder Technician in testing function and monitors cover and cure line interchangeably with the Technician. Performs the downstream set-up of the extruder; removes hose from the extruder and cure line storage reel, cutting out any obvious defects, and proof tests as required. Adjusts pressures during testing, as needed. Coils good hose on to packaging reel per specifications and stretch wraps finished reel for shipment. Ensures customer specifications are met related to reel size and/or packaging of finished product. Documents, logs, compiles reports as required and/or requested. Monitors machines and process, reporting irregularities to VSTL for problem identification and resolution. Participates in area and process team projects and activities. Performs or assists with other duties as assigned. Education, Training and Experience HS diploma or GED required Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Knowledge and Skills Mathematical aptitude and proficiency Keyboarding skills, with some knowledge of MS Office software Ability to operate manual and electric jack; Company will train Measurement skills, including use of precision measuring tools and equipment Attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot for process and product improvement Effective English verbal communication and listening skills Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure Successful prioritizing and management of work projects Physical Demands Extended periods of sitting/standing at work station Grasping, reaching, stretching, eye/hand coordination, cutting, climbing line ladder Visual acuity Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Frequent lifting/moving...
