FTE: 0.950000 (38 hours/wk) Shift: 1 (Week 1- Mon-Tues-Wed 7a-7p; Week 2 Fri 7a-3p, Sat/Sun 7a-7p, Thurs 7a-3p... repeat) Job Summary: Assists the registered nurse in caring for monitored patients and observes, records, and responds to patients\' heart rhythms. Performs various receptionist and clerical duties in patient care areas. Coordinates patient information and communication for the department and is responsible for maintaining accurate medical records. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Ability to read and write to complete forms and logs, comprehend and communicate complicated verbal and written instructions. Ability to communicate clearly. Exemplary telephone etiquette necessary. Interpersonal skills to gather and exchange information with patients, visitors and hospital staff in a courteous and supportive manner. Analytical skills to gather and interpret routine information, maintain semi complex records and organize work.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 30 days of hire.
