Job Title: Donations Receiver/ Sorter

Reports To: Store Manager

Part-Time: - 3 to 4 days a week

Wage: $11.00 per hour

Summary

Receives and stores donated items, inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays in retail thrift store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Transfer materials and items from receiving or production area to storage or to other designed areas.

Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise.

Stamps, attaches, or changes price tags on merchandise.

Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins.

Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.

Cleans display cases, shelves, aisles, and other parts of store as assigned.

  • Education and/or Experience - Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
