About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, Retail Capital Improvements, you will be responsible for construction project solutions for a financial services retail client, with direct accountability for project delivery in the Tri-state area. Typical projects include exterior infrastructure projects and ADA upgrades.
This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.
What you’ll do
Lead all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for individual real estate projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
Demonstrate capability to read, understand, and apply basic to sophisticated documents affecting construction projects, including but not limited to: agreements/contracts, leases, work letters, project charters, surveys, and drawings.
Interface directly with clients defining project requirements. Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
Identify project resources from pre-qualified lists or through individual project qualification processes; conduct standard to sophisticated requests for proposals; complete bid analysis; lead evaluation interviews and recommend resources to clients.
Lead project delivery resources/team (typically larger more experienced team) providing project mentorship and direction to achieve project goals.
Implement communication plans for meetings and written reports/meeting minutes to keep client and project resources informed. Facilitates project meetings.
Implement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements. Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
Track the progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines. Reports status and variances. Builds plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
Implement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assess change requests to resolve impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.
Demonstrate ability to identify sophisticated project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
Lead 3rd party project resources/expert team). Responsible for identifying training needs, tracking performance, mentoring, and motivating team members.
What you’ll need
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) from a College or University in a technical area of study. Minimum six years of related experience and/or training.
Proven project management experience with large-volume retail bank projects and clients is highly preferred. Experience with banking branch capital improvements, infrastructure, and ADA upgrades is a plus.
Experience utilizing PMWeb project management software is preferred. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Knowledge in leases, contracts, and construction practices.
PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
Ability to travel to complete site visits is required.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Senior Project Manager position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Project Manager position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
