GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
This position works closely internally with production, maintenance and management to ensure equipment reliability, prioritize an execute projects within the facility and drive productivity. Externally with R&D, Sourcing, and PMO to identify and prioritize new product development opportunities, material substitutions, and testing needs to support the growth of the company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads initiatives in cost savings, productivity and control of quality within manufacturing operations.
Troubleshoots production process performance issues.
Responsible for costing of new raw materials and finished inks.
Identifies areas for improving equipment and processes.
Establish and maintain and effective production maintenance system through MicroMain and supports PSM (OSHA) program.
Supports Newell Brands Safety Program (SEAL) through establishing and executing safety processes and training.
Key contributor to Newell Brands continuous improvement program (PEAK)
Manages large budget projects and works with contractors and maintenance on installation.
Communicates environmental plant issues with the site Environmental Engineer and coordinates with maintenance as such aspects arise, to include, waste management, pollution EPA equipment, and projects
Works collaboratively with all functional groups.
Participate in engineering side of New Product Development from lab batches to scale up to production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during working hours.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial)
Training and/or experience in the following areas is preferred: Chemical batch processes, SAP, HAZWOPER, PSM, RCRA, Microsoft Access, Lean 6sigma
