POSITION SUMMARY:
The 2nd shift Punch Laser Operator operates punch/laser machines and produce parts to specification. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet‘s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Machine parts to specifications using documentation presented on routing/drawings and program hard copy.
Employ use of inspection methods to ensure the quality of production.
Ability to perform entry-level problem-solving skills.
Ability to run one or more machine types.
Maintains housekeeping and safety standards in work area.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School Diploma or equivalent.
1 – 2 years’ experience preferred working in a manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to load and run machine.
Strong team player and flexible to move from one task to another.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
Read, write clearly, and follow written procedures.
Ability to read and understand basic blueprints.
Knowledge and ability to utilize standard measuring equipment.
Basic computer skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to wear proper PPE. Moderate to loud noise conditions
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift of work or to other production areas.
Ability to perform repetitive work more than 8 hours per day and weekends, when required.
