Elliot Health System EEG Technician in Manchester, New Hampshire
Seeking EEG technologist to join our experienced and enthusiastic team. This full-time position supports a variety of demographics ranging from newborns to geriatrics in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including critically ill patients in the adult ICU and NICU. Rotating after hour/weekend call coverage for STAT patients only shared within the flexible group. Technologists work independently with the support of the Neurology Practice Manager and clinical oversight from the Medical Director of Neurophysiology.

Perform EEG tests as requested by physician.
Gather patient medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare the patient for procedure.
Monitors the patient’s status and notes any abnormalities during testing.
Reports findings to physician once testing is complete for further analysis.
Enters appropriate data in computer modules.
Verifies department inventory levels and reorders additional supplies as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently
Ability to deliver patient care in a manner that is appropriate to the demographics and/ or specific needs of the patient population served by the hospital.
Demonstrates proficiency in assessing, responding and adapting treatment of care to meet the needs of the patient population served by the hospital.
Familiarity with the technical equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, physicians and staff in other departments.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree in Clinical Neurophysiology preferred.
Experience: Previous healthcare/ EEG experience preferred.
Certification/Licensure: EEG Certification required. Registered EEG Technician preferred. BLS authorization preferred or obtained within 90 days of date of hire.
