Where the chemistry happens…
We are seeking a professional like you to join our team in Manati, PR. As a QA/QC Technician II you should be able toprovide analytical support to the production departments according to quality standards, good laboratory practices, prevention of cross contamination and prevention of microbiological contamination, following the occupational health, safety and environmental protection, established by BASF.
It is expected that you will have your Explosives license (within 6 – 12 months since hiring starting date).
During your time as a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician II, you will
Expedite accurate laboratory testing results.
Maintain check samples graphical analysis and laboratory reports.
Organize the prioritization of duties and will approve or reject raw materials, packaging components and Bulk product.
Provide analytical support to analytical discrepancies as well asmaintain up-to-date documentation related to routine maintenance of equipment, waste, reagent inventory, laboratory equipment, analysis performed and instrument calibration record, among others.
Calibrate the analytical systems, as required by the analysis methodology.Prepare liquid chromatographs for use during product changes.Perform other laboratory tasks such as: change cylinder in the gas area, dispose of excess samples, glassware cleaning, routine maintenance of instruments and verify the operation of the instruments, among others.

Have a BS preferably with concentration in Chemistry andread and understand English and Spanish and possess computer use skills.
Show basic knowledge in mathematics, laboratory equipment, titration techniques and know the analytical documentation procedure, knowledge of security laws and regulations.
Have aminimum of three years in an industrial laboratory with one year of liquid chromatography.
