Iron Mountain’s Data Centers operate a global colocation platform that enables customers to build tailored, sustainable, carrier and cloud-neutral data solutions from single cabinets to wholesale data centers in 19 locations on three continents. Officers will have daily interactions with all individuals who enter the facility, including customers, employees, visitors and vendors. The Officer, Safety & Security must maintain a professional demeanor and interact with these individuals in a courteous and professional manner. Training, uniforms, footwear, duty gear, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided to ensure you have the tools to be your best in your role.

Pay: $24.93
Key Responsibilities:
Control and monitor daily entry and exit of individuals and vehicles into and out of the facility addressing both safety and security concerns.
Conduct routine visual inspection of key assets and locations within the facility through scheduled roving foot and vehicle patrols, both inside and on the outside perimeter of the facility, throughout the year and in all weather conditions.
Assist customers, tenants and visitors as needed with safety and security issues and concerns, as well as with directions and general guidance regarding the facility.
Appropriately document any significant security and safety incidents and complete reports in accordance with established policy and procedures.
Perform badging access for all customers, visitors, vendors, contractors, in accordance with visitor entry request documentation.
The ability to quickly and effectively assess and de-escalate situations which may present a threat to the safety or security of anyone within the facility is paramount.
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Daily face-to-face dialogue with a wide variety of individuals and personalities.
The Officer, Safety & Security – Armed must adhere to the Iron Mountain Deadly Force Policy. All company-issued weapons are to remain on company property at all times unless authorized offsite training is required by management.
Able to learn and understand basic computer networking and database concepts, maintain knowledge of physical access control systems, CCTV, and other related systems and equipment, and understand life safety issues.
Able to work effectively in a fast pace and changing environment.
Maintain all issued company uniforms and equipment.
Able to read, comprehend, and follow documentation written in English.
Candidates should have prior firearms experience.
Two or more years of experience in Security, Law Enforcement, Corrections or Military (active or reserve) preferred.
Maintain mandated CPR/AED, Firearm, Handcuffing, ASP Baton training requirements in accordance with company guidelines.
Candidates should have prior firearms experience either work related or non work related.
Must possess valid Virginia DL.
Must have DCJS or must have the ability to obtain the DCJS prior to the first day.
Applicants must meet all requirements, including customer-contracting requirements, which will require U.S. Citizenship.
