Insight Global Mechanical Design Engineer in Manassas, Virginia
Job Description
An aerospace and defense company is looking for a mechanical design engineer to play a pivotal role in programs looking to design large scale aircraft in an agile, prototype environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background utilizing design software to work on various mechanical systems. This person will be taking a senior/lead level role and will solve various mechanical systems issues with a small team on a major program for the company. The role will require adaptability, creativity and agility in working at a fast paced, innovative and excited environment.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years mechanical design work in the aerospace and defense field
CAD design experience (Catia V5)
Strong background in analysis tools
Strong background with large aircraft
Experience with Horizontal Stabilizer Trim Actuator Systems (HSTA) and Flap Drive Systems
Prototype/R&D environment experience Worked in prototype environment with large scale aircraft null
