Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to assist in the design of aircraft builds, specifically supporting the Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration Program (EPFD). This role involves servicing the development, production, and delivery of aerostructure components and assemblies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and maintaining engineering masters and operational work orders through SAP ERP System,

  • Interfacing with design engineering services, preventing process bottlenecks, and improving manufacturing engineering processes.

  • The candidate will also follow company procedures, achieve individual and company objectives, and incorporate lean manufacturing principles in process improvement initiatives.

  • Additional duties entail creating inspection checklists, manufacturing planning documents, preparing bid packages for suppliers/vendors, and supporting the production floor with technical specifications.

This is a contract-to-hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Manassas, Virginia.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a manufacturing environment where wearing proper PPE is necessary. The role also involves the ability to transport objects up to 35 pounds and occasionally perform physical activities such as stooping, crawling, bending, crouching, climbing, and kneeling.
