CBTS Technology Solutions LLC TL - Network Engineering in Manapakkam, Chennai, India

Job Purpose :

Lead a team of network engineers and manages projects and problem resolution requiring the participation of multiple specialized teams. Provides network design, implementation, and support of network devices as a member of the network team. Responsible for on-call-escalated support for operations of CBTS managed customer networks.

Essential Functions :

Technical Support and Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 3 support for complex network issues and outages.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 network support staff.

  • Oversee the daily Managed Services operations of our NaaS, SD-WAN, SSE, Enterprise routing, switching, infrastructure.

  • Support of new technology solutions by collaborating with in house network automation team.

  • Provide technical input on the Networking needs of all software and hardware used in the customers environment, which includes multi-vendor solutions.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead and manage a team of network engineers and support staff.

  • Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute network projects from inception to completion.

  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.

  • Documentation and Reporting

Maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams.

  • Generate regular reports on network performance, issues, and improvements.

  • Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Education:

  • Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:

  • CCNP, CCDP, CISSP, or CISM preferred

Experience:

  • 7-10 years of related experience

Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering and support roles preferred.

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or management position preferred.

  • Technical experience in Data Center and Enterprise Routing and Switching is required.

  • In-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting multi-vendor complex Routing and Switching infrastructure.

  • Ability to troubleshoot large enterprise networks.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts, give clients guidance and vision about the solution.

  • Experience with network topology modeling analysis.

  • Experience with development of build of materials lists, obtaining quotes, and producing technology refresh plans.

  • Ability to work independently, self-starter required.

  • Experience supporting network security devices (IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Load balancers) and Encryption devices.

  • Proven experience working with Network Management and Analysis tools.

  • Experience working with cloud networking.

  • Experience with installation of structured cabling.

  • Experience with Data Center, VOIP, network and security engineering and design.

  • Experience with network and security automation preferred, i.e. Ansible, Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc.

  • Experience with network vendor API's a plus.

  • Experience with Cisco, VMware Velocloud, Palo Alto, or any other SDWAN vendor a plus.

  • Experience with Cisco, VMware. Palo Alto or any other SASE vendor a plus.

  • Experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP a plus.

  • SD-WAN or SASE-related experience, not just traditional R & S.

  • Enterprise traditional network support (R & S, hardware, etc.) and Naas, programming, automation, SD-WAN type work.

Supervisory Responsibility :

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment : This position is performed remotely or in an office environment.
