CBTS Technology Solutions LLC TL - Network Engineering in Manapakkam, Chennai, India
Job Purpose :
Lead a team of network engineers and manages projects and problem resolution requiring the participation of multiple specialized teams. Provides network design, implementation, and support of network devices as a member of the network team. Responsible for on-call-escalated support for operations of CBTS managed customer networks.
Essential Functions :
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide Level 3 support for complex network issues and outages.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Mentor and support Level 1 and Level 2 network support staff.
Oversee the daily Managed Services operations of our NaaS, SD-WAN, SSE, Enterprise routing, switching, infrastructure.
Support of new technology solutions by collaborating with in house network automation team.
Provide technical input on the Networking needs of all software and hardware used in the customers environment, which includes multi-vendor solutions.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and manage a team of network engineers and support staff.
Provide training, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute network projects from inception to completion.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain comprehensive network documentation and diagrams.
Generate regular reports on network performance, issues, and improvements.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Education:
- Four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Certifications, Accreditations, Licenses:
- CCNP, CCDP, CISSP, or CISM preferred
Experience:
- 7-10 years of related experience
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
7+ years of experience in network engineering and support roles preferred.
3+ years of experience in a leadership or management position preferred.
Technical experience in Data Center and Enterprise Routing and Switching is required.
In-depth knowledge of implementing and supporting multi-vendor complex Routing and Switching infrastructure.
Ability to troubleshoot large enterprise networks.
Ability to explain technical concepts, give clients guidance and vision about the solution.
Experience with network topology modeling analysis.
Experience with development of build of materials lists, obtaining quotes, and producing technology refresh plans.
Ability to work independently, self-starter required.
Experience supporting network security devices (IPS/IDS, Firewalls, Load balancers) and Encryption devices.
Proven experience working with Network Management and Analysis tools.
Experience working with cloud networking.
Experience with installation of structured cabling.
Experience with Data Center, VOIP, network and security engineering and design.
Experience with network and security automation preferred, i.e. Ansible, Python, JavaScript, Terraform, etc.
Experience with network vendor API's a plus.
Experience with Cisco, VMware Velocloud, Palo Alto, or any other SDWAN vendor a plus.
Experience with Cisco, VMware. Palo Alto or any other SASE vendor a plus.
Experience with Azure, AWS and/or GCP a plus.
SD-WAN or SASE-related experience, not just traditional R & S.
Enterprise traditional network support (R & S, hardware, etc.) and Naas, programming, automation, SD-WAN type work.
Supervisory Responsibility :
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment : This position is performed remotely or in an office environment.
