Actalent Medical Assistant in Mamaroneck, New York

Description:
Prepare rooms for the day
Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examinations
Record height/weight (head circ if age appropriate) and blood pressure
Ask parent or patient about chief complaint and document
Obtain and document the birth history for all new patients less than 1 year old.
Obtain and document the family medical history
Clean and restock rooms and equipment
Relay messages as may be required by physicians
Obtain lab and diagnostic testing results as needed
Obtain prior authorizations for infusions to include both for the facility, home care vendor and medication as needed
Gather all pertinent medical information to submit to facilities or home care providers
Finger Sticks, A1C, Spirometry
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:15am - 5:15pm
Qualifications:
No diploma or cert necessary
Must have flu shot and vaccinated
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical assistant necessary
