BluePearl Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator - Medical Oncology in Malvern, Pennsylvania

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking an experienced CVT to join us as a Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator in our Medical Oncology Department. This position will require on-the-floor time plus administrative duties.

Pay: $22.05 - $39.39 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through CareerTrax leveling system .

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

  • Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential

  • Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential

  • Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As a Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator, you will act as a liaison between the front and back of the hospital by facilitating client/patient flow between the waiting room and exam rooms. Coordinating client/doctor communication. This position will always require on the floor time.

As a Veterinary Patient Care Coordinator in Medical Oncology, you will:

  • Monitor the waiting/exam room clients; assist with refreshments/marketing materials; update clients on wait time

  • Support and assist the Client Service Team in Medical Oncology

  • Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heartand respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.

  • Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.

  • Comfortable with phlebotomy and IVC placement

  • Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and

  • Maintain open communication with the doctor and technical staff

  • Coordinate patient flow with the Medical Oncology Service

  • Facilitate discharge appointments

  • Answering phone calls from referring veterinarians and clients calling for appointment requests

  • Perform patient discharges in coordination with the technical team

  • Assisting in scheduling consultations

  • Overseeing the clinical schedule
