Keeler Shipping Associate in Malvern, Pennsylvania
The Shipping Associate for Keeler USA is responsible for processing outbound shipments and packaging of ophthalmic medical devices and clinical supplies in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role includes ensuring compliance with all shipping regulations and requires close attention to detail.
Job Description:
· Verify packing lists of shipping orders for accuracy, ensuring the correct products, quantities, lots and serial numbers match against what was picked. Communicate any discrepancies to department lead.
· Accurately prepare, pack, and process customer orders for shipment using the ERP system, UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and other carrier systems.
· Safely operate equipment such as dry/wet tape dispensers, box cutters, pallet jacks, scales, pallets, tape measures, computers and printers.
· Process small parcel and Less-Than-Truckload domestic and international shipments.
· Assist with the stocking of shipping materials and actively optimize material organization.
· Process shipments which require cold-shipment packaging and/or HAZMAT/DG labeling and documentation.
· Collaborate with internal representatives and freight forwarders to schedule shipment pickups, complete SLI's, commercial invoices, packing lists, and BOL's.
· Actively contribute to departmental continuous improvement initiatives by carrying out assigned tasks and sharing new ideas for improvement.
· Calculate and provide as needed shipping costs, weights, dimensions, return labels, serial numbers, manufacture dates, and/or international documents to internal representatives.
· Comply with Health and Safety procedures and report any deviations to department lead.
· Assist other areas within logistics as needed such as receiving and order fulfilment.
· Monitor inventory levels of shipping tools and materials
· Participate in cyclical inventory counts and report any inventory discrepancies.
Requirements:
· Must possess a high school diploma or GED and have basic computer/technology skills.
· Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations and familiarity with international shipments, and handling dangerous/hazardous shipments is a plus.
· Meticulous attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
· Ability to stand/bend for extended periods, and lift or carry objects up to 50lbs with or without assistance during shift.
The Shipping Associate position reports to the Shipping Lead and is full-time non-exempt with standard work hours from 8:30 AM -- 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
