Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled, motivated and results driven logistics professional to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York in the Logistics department. This role will be responsible for leading a team of technicians to maximize the quality and process capabilities of a highly automated, wafer fabrication facility.

This position requires availability to work a compressed shift schedule:

Sunday through Tuesday, every other Wednesday during normal business hours, including occasional department meeting time commitments.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Be active in developing a culture of safety, 5S and cleanroom protocol, and help ensure compliance to fab policies, guidelines and rules.

  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve production, quality, or maintenance issues.

  • Lead team meetings as needed at shift cross-over as well as daily department meetings with engineers and management.

  • Develop training materials and documentation to capture knowledge and promote learning and standardization of procedures and processes.

  • Train and certify team members on established processes and procedures.

  • Lead, drive and/or actively participate in continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and efficiencies.

  • Build and develop team members by setting daily challenging goals and by providing effective feedback, mentoring and coaching.

  • Establish a positive work environment characterized by mutual trust and respect, open and honest communications, teamwork and a passion for winning and improving.

  • Administer employment policies and procedures,

  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspection, warehousing, stores, gowning, equipment, supplies and mail.

  • Prepare documentation and enter data into logistics systems including Warehouse Management System software.

  • Determine method of shipment optimizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.

  • Coordinate pickup and delivery of material with service providers.

  • Ensure documentation is compliant in collaboration with logistics and trade specialists.

  • Operate motor vehicles as required for department transportation needs.

  • Order, purchase and recommend additions or deletions to standard stock items within established procedures and limits.

  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.

  • Utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – HS Degree or Equivalent

  • U.S. Citizenship required - The role you are applying for may require you to obtain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance at some time during you employment. Further, the applicant consents to being asked questions about their citizenship and background to assess the likelihood of obtaining a Security Clearance. The applicant also acknowledges that GlobalFoundries can only nominate and submit an application for a Security Clearance. The granting of a Security Clearance is at the sole discretion of the U.S. Government and the Department of Defense.

  • Experience – 2 years of professional experience in semiconductors, manufacturing, or logistics.

  • Language Fluency – English, both written and verbal

  • Willing and able to travel up to 5% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AS Degree or equivalent

  • Ability to demonstrate program development and management

  • Experience with database technologies: Oracle/SQL DB.

  • Project Management Experience

  • Effective communication skills and strong ability to influence

  • Oracle R12 Inventory experience or Factory systems experience.

Expected Salary Range

$53,000.00 - $98,500.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
