Summary of Role:

Serve as the primary source for procuring and building GlobalFoundries’ relationship with suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary source for procuring and building GlobalFoundries’ relationship with suppliers. Conduct market and supplier analysis. Responsible for monitoring the national and international markets in order to bring new suppliers, product derivatives, and product innovations into GlobalFoundries’ purchasing portfolio. Manage supplier selection and performance as well as execute site-specific negotiations. In alignment with GlobalFoundries’ Global Sourcing Teams, support global negotiations for required equipment, parts, and services. Develop, implement, and communicate the Company’s policies and procedures for purchasing, and ensure that purchase requests comply with Company requirements. Identify, develop, and onboard alternate equipment, services, and parts sourcing opportunities. Aligned with the Global Team, create and drive a comprehensive local commodity strategy for equipment areas as well as support global strategies. In order to deliver effective results to the customers and procurement teams, conduct spend and commodity analysis and ensure best practices are implemented. Drive cost saving and continuous improvement projects with key internal stakeholders and the supplier base. Monitor the cost, schedule, and performance metrics of contracts and subcontracts. Maintain and update purchasing orders, systems, and documentation.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.

  • Experience – 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a similar role. 2 years of experience is required in: (1) Procurement processes; (2) Data analytics; (3) Supply chain processes. Domestic travels quarterly and international travels approximately once per year.

Salary range: $95,738– $117,500

Expected Salary Range

Salary range: $95,738– $117,500
