Summary of the Role:

The Director of Manufacturing Finance will play a pivotal role in serving as a strategic advisor to the Fab General Managers in New York, providing expertise in day-to-day operational efficiency and long-term strategic planning and execution. Additionally, the position ensures alignment with global standards and drives the implementation of innovative Finacial strategies.

As a critical leader, the Director will lead a team of analysts and will oversee budgeting, gross profit margin, headcount planning, and saving initiatives while ensuring adherence to organizational goals and financial best practices. The role requires deep collaboration across various teams, leveraging financial insights to enhance business decisions and operational outcomes. The ideal candidate will combine technical financial expertise with strong leadership and communication skills to influence and execute transformative strategies.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead forecasting and achievement of P&L outcomes with clearly defined goals and deliverables

  • Analyze and explain financial variances, including cash input costs, depreciation, other cost-of-goods-sold, and ad hoc gross margin and capex reporting; develop and implement remediation actions as needed

  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of monthly reports to Corporate FP&A, ensuring accuracy and compliance

  • Ensuring all closing activities are performed accurately and efficiently, including journal entries, margin walks, and cash flow analysis

  • Assist General Managers in managing depreciation expenses by accurately forecasting and planning future expenditures

  • Collaborate with finance team members to develop accurately forecasts, annual budgets, and corresponding KPIs

  • Drive long-term planning initiatives to ensure alignment between operations, supply chain, industrial engineering, and corporate funding strategies

  • Define success metrics using external benchmarking, identifying performance gaps, and recommending actionable solutions

  • Develop and monitor key productivity and efficiency metrics, with a focus on labor, materials, maintenance, and outsources activities

  • Lead cross-site projects to standardize processes and implement best practices aligned with the OneGF philosophy

  • Approve and track cost savings initiatives across multiple functions to meet financial goals.

  • Conduct business case analysis or ROI evaluations to support capital expenditure requests and strategic investments

  • Maintain strong partnerships with Audit and Accounting to ensure proper documentation of key controls and adherence to compliance requirements

  • Support internal controls with quarterly reviews to safeguard financial integrity and regulatory compliance.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of financial analysts to deliver high performance and drive team success.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Supply Chain or Engineering

  • 10+ years of experience, or MBA/CPA/CMA +7yrs of relevant Finance/Supply Chain experience

  • Demonstrated excellence in managing people and building high performing teams

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and drive standardized processes and continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated excellence in accounting and financial analysis

  • Ability to manage large, complex projects to conclusion with limited direction

  • Manufacturing finance skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PowerPoint and Excel skills. ERP, Anaplan, PowerBI and Oracle FCCS is a plus

Expected Salary Range

$146,000.00 - $267,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
