Job Description
Purpose of Job:
The Travel assistant is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the travel requests of all corporate and Mining travel and accommodation bookings in the Mining and Environment Department. An essential part of the role is to effectively manage the document control and delivery of travel resources to meet company requirements as needed.
Essential Functions:
Serves as a general resource and point of contact for all travel-related issues and concerns.
Reconciles the Travel Departments invoices and purchase orders for Accounts Payable.
Maintains accurate document control and records
Assesses and implements Travel Management System requirements and improvements as required.
Updating training matrix, flight and booking registers
Assist in booking courses, flights, accommodation, hotel, and vehicle hire for personnel, as requested.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or any related
At least 3 years working experience in mobilisation, mobility and travel management
Self-motivated and able to organise and motivate others.
Able to prioritise workload and respond immediately to changing circumstances and demands.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Ability to perform under pressure and meet targets and deadlines.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written communication, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
Understanding the Travel Management process (with training
Experience in administration and purchasing-related functions.
High level of computer literacy.
Proficient in Microsoft office
Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
Be highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suit
