Manulife Junior Investment Operations Officer in Makati City, Philippines
The opportunity
The Junior Investment Operations Officer will be responsible for providing oversight on all retirement funds’ operations related activities including timely submission and payment of tax filing requirements that will be outsourced to a third party service provider. Alongside this, he/she will be responsible for performing funds-related financial transactions that will be transferred from the Finance Team. He/She will also be responsible in ensuring that daily trades and bank transfers are processed and settled accurately, new funds are set up properly and that reconciliations are performed timely.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide oversight on all operations activities related to retirement funds including the outsourced services to be provided by third party trustee administrator (i.e. periodic tax filings, benefit payment computation, etc.)
Timely and accurate settlement of trade (Equities, FI, UITF, and MF) transactions
Setup of new funds in relevant Manulife and Custodian/Fund Administrator systems
Review of daily reconciliations performed by third party service provider (cash, position, price and fund oversight)
Perform funds related financial transactions and reconciliation of bank balances.
Fulfillment of onboarding/KYC requirements with Banks/Counterparties
Responsible for the timely and accurate submissions of reports submitted to local and regional management
Responsible for the record management of various operational documents and updating of investment operations process manuals
Responsible for the continual streamlining of investment operations functions through process improvements and automations
Perform other duties and work assignments under investment operations, as required.

What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, CPA
With more than 5 years of experience in Finance, Financial Accounting, Investment Operations or Audit
Highly analytical and with strong problem solving skills and detail oriented
Encourage and drive changes within a highly dynamic, fluid environment.
Good team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple levels.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledgeable on Data Automation Tools
