The role you’ll contribute:

The Supervisor assists the Operations Manager with facilitating all activities within their assigned regional centers. Assists with activities related to all aspects of a walk-in medical center according to the philosophy, policies, procedures, and objectives of the hospital and units of responsibility. Assists with staffing & scheduling, patient experience, environmental control, physician relations, equipment, inventory / material control, team member coaching and development, supervising all activities within the center, and preparing and implementing an approved budget. Coordinates operating activities with other departments as necessary may delegate responsibilities and duties to both professional and non-professional personnel. Must be available to be “on-call” for Center. Communicates effectively with alternative supervisor and center manager. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. This position actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

· Fullfill duties of Concierge or Medical Assistant in support of clinic operations.

· Assists with recruiting, staffing, orienting, and training.

· Assists with fiscal management of the center operation including achieving visit volume and productivity targets, cost management and revenue generation, accounts payable, and daily financial practices.

· Maintains the safe and efficient operation of the center by monitoring work orders and equipment safety, overseeing vendors, and making appropriate recommendations for improving center.

· Assists the clinic manager with managing the center operating activities so that services are provided in a manner that meets all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations. Maintains Quality Assurance Program to monitor and control department services

· Communicates to Clinical Manager all complaints and takes effective corrective action and involves the appropriate parties as necessary.

· Responsible for various aspects of Accounts Receivable Management including updating staff on changes, monitoring claims, responding to correspondence requests and ensuring timely submission of reports.

· Submits required reports. Identifies needs and opportunities and makes recommendations for change. Implements problem-solving mechanisms in both routine and emergency situations.

· Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or center.

· Must achieve proficiency in registration, materials management and human resource panels in AdventHealth computer system.

· Demonstrates the capability to communicate effectively with patients ranging in age from adulthood through geriatrics.

· Provides team members with tools and training needed to meet accuracy standard goals, minimize department registration errors, rejections, and avoidable denials. Monitors work items and task lists for timely completion. Trains and assists team with open access and same day promise to successfully meet budgeted volume and visit goals

· Communicates staffing needs with manager. Provides continual coverage, as required, to offer prompt patient service and be available for various registration needs. Limits use of overtime by monitoring productivity and adjusts staff as necessary based on volume. Communicates budget information to team and engages team in ways to reduce cost and create efficiencies.

· Ensures Clinical Quality Controls, Lab Reporting, Patient callbacks and unresolved charge duties are completed for their regional centers

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

· High school diploma or equivalency,

· Experience in medical office management and/or 2 years’ experience in Medical office

· Clinical Certification (LPN, Medical Assistant)
