What you will do

  • Lead and develop team of Finance professionals supporting Royalties, including accruals, budgets, projections, and payments for the Joint Replacement and Trauma & Extremities divisions of Stryker

  • Manage and review all journal entries and reconciliations for royalty activity during the monthly close

  • Partner with finance leaders across Joint Replacement and Trauma & Extremities on business reviews of quarterly royalty payments

  • Partner with AP and Treasury on processing of royalty payments

  • Partner with FP&A group on royalties projections & budget

  • Serve as primary Finance Business Partner to Intellectual Property, Legal Counsel, Marketing & R&D teams on matters relating to royalty contracts

  • Serve as a business partner to the OUS royalty finance team on collaboration of contracts and resolving potential issues

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to ensure integrity and efficiency.

  • Function as an extension of the divisional team, proactively communicating and leading meetings to resolve issues and implement improvements.

  • Manage critical projects and perform ad-hoc analyses to support Business Partner needs and Orthopaedics Group

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred

  • 6+ years' experience in Accounting and/or Finance

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency with Excel

  • Experience in cross-functional partnering

  • Strong experience with Oracle & JDE (preferred).

  • Ability to interpret and analyze data accurately and efficiently

  • Strong ability to coordinate action across dispersed workforce

  • Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management

  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and lead projects to completion
