Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of Assistant Branch Manager I. Primary Function: Engage and develop the Financial Services Representatives to provide high quality member service through successful implementation of our consultative, needs based interaction model. Grow the branch business to meet both branch and organizational goals and support the attainment of branch operational integrity.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and developthe FSRs to drive branch goal attainment and ensure high quality service to members through the successful implementation of our consultative, needs-based selling approach.
- Create an environment of accountability by setting clear expectations, goals and objectives to drive results and providing consistent coaching and development to the FSR staff.
- Monitor branch results daily. Create, implement and monitor employee performance plans. Provide regular feedback to all direct reports, monitor sales/cascading goals and results, identify trends and make recommendations to ensure team goals are achieved.
- Ensure direct reports are trained on processes and product knowledge, cross selling credit union products and services, automated transaction services, marketing programs, and referring members to branch business partners for expert advice.
- Collaborate with partners in Mortgage, Wealth Management and Insurance to achieve the organization's goals and to ensure we are meeting the financial needs of our members..
- Support branch operational integrity through staff coaching and reinforcement of policies and procedures. Assist with branch opening and closing process as needed.
- Look for opportunities to enhance revenue, reduce expenses, create efficient processes and improve operations. Submit annual budget recommendations to Branch Manager.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years equivalent experience for each undergraduate year not completed; undergraduate degree cannot substitute for minimum number of years of experience required
- NYS Notary Public license achieved within 12 months of obtaining position required
- Minimum 3 Years Supervisory or leadership experience in a financial institution or retail environment required
- Minimum 1 Year sales and customer service experience in a financial institution or retail environment required
- Minimum 1 year sales management and employee development experience preferred
