Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join our team. This position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory Utah or the Bacchus Utah facility.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Define and develop material strategies to meet operational goals.
Assess supply resources, prioritize demand requirements, and plan inventory, distribution, material, and rough-cut capacity for raw materials.
Serve as the primary focal point for a cross-functional team, providing leadership, guidance, and coordination to ensure effective supply chain execution.
Engage in long-term capacity and resource planning, including product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management, and product-line transitions.
Analyze and synthesize complex supply/demand requirements to inform strategic decision-making.
Plan and manage inventory levels based on Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements, creating or reducing supply requirements as needed.
Develop and execute critical procurement strategies by conducting in-depth lead time analyses and identifying critical paths.
Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate and refine supply chain workflows, addressing inefficiencies and mitigating risks.
Create and release requisitions, review non-standard part requirements, and support new product scheduling while phasing out obsolete lines.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in supply chain, business management, program management, or related fields; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in the same areas.
Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requiring High School education and 9+ years of experience in supply chain, business management, program management, or related fields
Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering collaboration and accountability in achieving operational goals.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Program material management experience, especially in defense and aerospace.
Experience with "Return to Green" plans and managing complex program execution challenges.
Expertise in MS Excel and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint Materials Module.
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and drive alignment.
Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills with a proven ability to break down complex challenges and develop effective solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of procurement, subcontract execution, manufacturing, and purchasing workflows.
Knowledge of forecasting, planning, and plant scheduling to drive operational execution.
Proven ability to work under limited supervision, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
Excellent communication, organizational, and business acumen to navigate high-stakes decision-making environments.

Salary Range: $78,700 - $118,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
