Automation Software Test Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automation Software Test Engineer to join our ambitious and world-class Engineering team in Spain. In this role, you will play a meaningful role in the development and maintenance of our automation test framework, ensuring flawless and efficient automation testing processes. As a Software Test Engineer III, you will have the opportunity to lead and collaborate with a team of experienced engineers, working on technically complicated components to build automated testing scenarios.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance of the automation test framework and automation testing.

  • Prepare reusable functions to improve the adaptability, re-usability, and maintainability of test scripts.

  • Work with management, developers, and other corporate functions to deliver world-class software solutions.

  • Participate in defect review meetings and provide fixes to help the development team understand software defects

  • Perform test automation for every software build and release, providing detailed reports of the outcomes.

  • Handle and mentor a team of testers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality outputs.

  • Establish and maintain quality assurance processes and standard methodologies.

  • Implement and apply test automation tools and frameworks to increase efficiency.

  • Be responsible for the overall automation testing effort, including training other test engineers and carrying out automation test standards and processes.

  • Engage in Scrum team meetings and adhere to SDLC requirements.

  • Drive test automation framework code review, test logic review, and feature specification review.

  • Prepare and present test progress reports, test metrics, and defect reports to partners.

  • Ensure all deliveries meets regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect logs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing

  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud application testing.

  • Hands-on experience developing and integrating test frameworks using Azure DevOps, Jira Xray, Jenkins, JMeter, Selenium, BDD, Java

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-layered environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).

  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.

  • Knowledge of performance and security testing.

  • Experience with regulatory compliance and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
